Raised in Los Angeles, Steve developed a strong work ethic early in life. From cutting grass and washing cars to working as a short-order cook, banquet chef, and shoe salesman, he supported himself through college while living at home. What some might describe as modest beginnings, he considers a rich foundation—one that instilled resilience, discipline, and self-reliance.

His journey to becoming an attorney was marked by determination from the very start. On his first night in Tucson—the eve of beginning law school—Steve slept under a tree on the University of Arizona campus, determined to succeed “whatever it takes.” That mindset has guided both his career and his unwavering dedication to his clients.

Early in his legal career, Steve became an expert in utility finance while working for Tucson Gas & Electric (now TEP). He was later recruited by San Diego Gas & Electric to lead regulatory efforts, and his success in finance and senior leadership roles ultimately led to his appointment as Assistant General Counsel of a Fortune 500 company in his 30s.

Not yet ready to slow down, he launched his own practice in the 1980s and built a dynamic career as a technology entrepreneur, with business operations across the United States and in more than 30 countries. In his later years in California, he practiced as a litigator, business advisor, estate planner, and family law attorney—experience that sharpened both his financial acumen and his compassion for clients navigating complex personal challenges. He continues to practice family law in California. In addition, he spent a decade as a licensed agent with Transamerica, advising clients on retirement strategies, IRAs, annuities, and insurance planning.

He has shared this journey with his wife of 48 years, their two married daughters, and three granddaughters, along with three beloved dogs raised over the years. Together, he and his wife remain actively involved in volunteer work through their church.

Since returning to Tucson, he has dedicated himself to serving seniors through comprehensive life care planning, combining his diverse professional background with a strong foundation of faith. His approach goes far beyond drafting wills and trusts. He works closely with clients to develop personalized life plans that address estate structure, family goals, risk management, long-term care planning, and asset preservation—ensuring clients can age with dignity, confidence, and peace of mind. He also assists clients navigating major life transitions, including the loss of a spouse, remarriage, cohabitation, or later-life divorce—often one of life's most difficult decisions.
